Another Obama Marxist

Posted by True Obama Facts on 28 Apr 2008 | Tagged as: Marxism

American Thinker:

Barack Obama has a thing for Marxists. He befriends them, listens to their counsel, and he even hires them to work in his campaign.  And they seem to feel the warmth.  President Daniel Ortega of Nicaragua, who led a revolution there in 1979,  says Barack Obama’s presidential bid is a ”revolutionary” phenomenon, and Americans are “laying the foundations for a revolutionary change.” A captured computer revealed that an unknown person chatted with Marxist FARC guerillas on Obama’s behalf (they believed), stating he would be the next President and US policy towards Columbia would change. Frank Marshall Davis, a dear Obama friend and mentor was as a member of the Communist Party USA. Barack Obama just seems to attract Marxists.

If the people he surrounds himself with are any indication of his core beliefs, a higher capital gains tax to punish the rich, even if it diminishes actual tax revenue, may be only the beginning. Obama’s Official campaign blogger, Sam Graham-Felsen, a former writer for the leftist Nation magazine and a contributor to the Socialist Viewpoint, is certainly a believer in class warfare.

The capitalist ruling class of the United States exercises a

Obama: Waffling without a prepared speech and an adoring crowd

Posted by True Obama Facts on 26 Apr 2008 | Tagged as: Barack Obama

From American Thinker:

Peggy Shapiro
Barack Obama needs a prepared speech, a teleprompter, and adoration. Left to his own extemporaneous devices, he missteps and in some cases “waffles.”

Asked to comment on former President Jimmy Carter’s meeting with Hamas officials, the senator replied sternly, “Why can’t I just eat my waffle?” When the reporter repeated the question, the candidate bit into his breakfasts and replied, “Just let me eat my waffle.”

The question was legitimate since Obama initially waffled on the subject of Carter’s engagement with the terrorist organization Hamas. He said it was not his place to criticize former President Jimmy Carter… “I’m not going to comment on former President Carter. He’s a private citizen. It’s not my place to discuss who he shouldn’t meet with,” Obama (Reuters April 11, 2008) With the State Department and both Republican and Democratic members of Congress condemning the visit, Obama finally agreed that it was “not a good idea.”

Why did the candidate snipe at the reporter’s question? Clearly he was at the working-class diner as part of his campaign effort to show that he was not elitist, and he took time to sign autographs for adoring fans. Accustomed to being the darling of the press, Obama bristles and snaps at the “tough” questions. The first incident was a barrage of questions about new revelations about Obama’s ties to Tony Rezko, who is on trial for corruption. (March 3, 2008) Obama, who was prepared for another press love fest with Chicago reporters (many of whom have Obama stickers on their bumpers), was stunned at the grilling and responded by berating Carol Marin NBC Channel 5 Chicago, snapping reporters and storming out, after answering only 8 questions.

Obama expected the mainstream media to throw him only easy questions and to accept his reply as gospel. Perhaps the press may have continued to give Obama a free ride were it not for the Saturday Night Live parody of the pro-Obama bias in the Democratic debates. Then Charles Gibson and George Stephanopoulos did the unthinkable: they asked Obama uncomfortable questions about his cordial relationships with men who hate and condemn America and to explain why those relationships won’t be a problem. Obama muttered and sputtered even though he was not chewing on anything but his words. The following morning, his media minions were apoplectic at the line of questioning.
If Obama becomes president, he will encounter much harsher adversaries than Carol Marin, Charles Gibson and George Stephanopoulos. In fact, he plans face-to-face meetings with some of America’s more virulent enemies. What waffling and whining will result when he discovers that Hugo Chavez and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad don’t adore him?

The ‘Great Uniter’ only for some groups

Posted by True Obama Facts on 24 Apr 2008 | Tagged as: Barack Obama, Issues

Peggy Shapiro

We have a chance to bring the country together. A nation healed, a world repaired. An America that believes again.”
  - Excerpted from
Barack Obama’s “Unify” television commercial.

Barack Obama’s meteoric rise on the political scene is built on the premise that he, more than any other candidate, can unite the nation’s divisions and bridge the gap between black and white, Republican and Democrat, poor and rich. In South Carolina, The State echoed other endorsements, “Sen. Obama’s campaign is an argument for a more unifying style of leadership. ..American unity - transcending party - is a core value in itself.”
His promise of unity rings hollow when he discounts a significant segment of the voting population. What a surprise it must be to America’s white workers that Obama’s campaign manager David Axelrod writes them off because “[t]he white working class has gone to the Republican nominee for many elections, going back even to the Clinton years.”

Aren’t they included in the great national healing.
Obama’s dismissal of a group of Americans which he hopes to serve brings to mind another “healing” predecessor, Jimmy Carter.  Bob Shrum, former presidential speech writer, recounted that in the 1976 presidential campaign, Carter was convinced that Jewish voters were favoring Henry (”Scoop”) Jackson. “Jackson has all the Jews anyway,” Shrum quoted Carter as saying. “We get the Christians.”
Who will be the next group excluded by the great “uniter”?

Obama’s ‘Real’ Bill Ayers Problem

Posted by True Obama Facts on 24 Apr 2008 | Tagged as: Barack Obama, Issues, News

From American Thinker:

In City Journal, Sol Stern raises some additional questions about Bill Ayers not related to his bomb throwing activities 40 years ago.

Instead, Stern concentrates on the radical teacher Ayers and how his position as respected professor of education should worry us all:

Unfortunately, neither Obama nor his critics in the media seem to have a clue about Ayers’s current work and his widespread influence in the education schools. In his last debate with Hillary Clinton, Obama referred to Ayers as a “professor of English,” an error that the media then repeated. Would that Ayers were just another radical English professor. In that case, his poisonous anti-American teaching would be limited to a few hundred college students in the liberal arts. But through his indoctrination of future K–12 teachers, Ayers has been able to influence what happens in hundreds, perhaps thousands, of classrooms.

Ayers’s influence on what is taught in the nation’s public schools is likely to grow in the future. Last month, he was elected vice president for curriculum of the 25,000-member American Educational Research Association (AERA), the nation’s largest organization of education-school professors and researchers. Ayers won the election handily, and there is no doubt that his fellow education professors knew whom they were voting for. In the short biographical statement distributed to prospective voters beforehand, Ayers listed among his scholarly books Fugitive Days, an unapologetic memoir about his ten years in the Weather Underground. The book includes dramatic accounts of how he bombed the Pentagon and other public buildings.

AERA already does a great deal to advance the social-justice teaching agenda in the nation’s schools and has established a Social Justice Division with its own executive director. With Bill Ayers now part of the organization’s national leadership, you can be sure that it will encourage even more funding and support for research on how teachers can promote left-wing ideology in the nation’s classrooms—and correspondingly less support for research on such mundane subjects as the best methods for teaching underprivileged children to read.

The radicalization of universities is virtually complete thanks to tenure for far left professors and the war against conservatives in the academy. Now the revolution in secondary and primary schools is well underway and we can expect the “Ayers Method” to be the preferred way to indoctrinate the young into radical liberal politics.

In many ways, this is a more insidious threat than anything Ayers was capable of 40 years ago. And he has a host of educators, administrators, and school board members on his side to make it happen.

When Will We Admit the Truth About Barack Obama?

Posted by True Obama Facts on 24 Apr 2008 | Tagged as: Barack Obama, Issues, Media, News

This is an awesome article by Selwyn Duke from American Thinker:
—–

If you interview someone for a job, you’ll expect him to tell you what you want to hear.  There’ll be a façade, and his darker side will remain well-hidden.  Now, let’s say a requirement for the job is that the applicant likes children, and he does his best Captain Kangaroo.  But then you find out he has a job history of indifference to and perhaps even abuse of kids and that, during unguarded moments, he has expressed disdain for them.  What will you believe, what he tries to sell you, or history and hair-down revelations?
Remember this when evaluating the profound discrepancy between Barack Obama’s damage-control denials and flowery rhetoric, and his long track record.  Understand that he, like the other candidates, is interviewing for the job of president with you, the interviewer.  His job is to bend the truth; your job is to discern it.  The only question is: Who will do a better job, he or you?
Either Obama really is a savior for the third millennium, or the answer is that he is, thus far, besting many of you.  Millions flock to him, registering oohs and ahs, fainting and fawning.  Even critics and watchdogs heap praise upon him; Bill O’Reilly said he likes Obama and Sean Hannity proclaimed him a “good man.”  But what is the truth about this applicant?
Let me tell you a story.  In 2002, President Bush signed into law a bill titled the “Born Alive Infants Protection Act” (BAIPA).  This law was necessary because, believe it or not, infants were being Continue Reading »

The Obama Aesthetic

Posted by True Obama Facts on 20 Apr 2008 | Tagged as: Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Issues

Barack Obama’s campaign has been all about image. The well-dressed, impeccably groomed, and elegantly articulate speaker was able to speak of hope, change, and unity, and for awhile the public bought it. Capitalizing on the huge store of guilt, compassion, and hope for better racial relations among the vast majority of Americans of all races, Obama posed as the man who might heal the wounds of the past.

The bonhomie lasted for months, as the press corps, no strangers to tObama's haloheir own guilt and hope and leftist inclinations, averted its eyes from those elements of his politics and life story that were discordant with a unifier’s mission, and portayed him as almost supernaturally virtuous. Obama long ago learned how to disarm strangers who might find him an unusual or perhaps threatening figure, and as long as the scrutiny didn’t get too detailed, the game worked splendidly.
But that was before Hillary Clinton’s campaign took him seriously. Before the Clinton war room wizards, past masters of planting stories and themes in friendly media hands, got to work on him. American Thinker and other conservative websites long have been pointing to his Alinskyite past, noting his Senate voting record and his propensity to associate with left wing extremists like Bill Ayers. But until very recently, the major media were Continue Reading »

Obama and Allies Dodging the essence of his remarks

Posted by True Obama Facts on 15 Apr 2008 | Tagged as: Barack Obama

American Thinker:

Obama has been spinning like a top since it was revealed that he doesn’t think much of white middle class voters who won’t vote for him because they “cling” to God, guns, and racism.

Jack Tapper has noticed that Obama is defending only one aspect of those remarks; that he called these voters “bitter:”

While the description of small town Pennsylvanians as “bitter” is certainly impolitic, many political analysts say it’s what follows that adjective that is potentially so alienating — the notion that small town folks “get bitter” after which “they cling to guns or religion, or antipathy to people who aren’t like them, or anti-immigrant sentiment, or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”

But Obama allies are trying to focus on the “bitter” part alone.

Ed Morrissey noticed the same thing:

In their attempts to spin away from Barack Obama’s stunningly stupid remarks at a San Francisco fundraiser last weekend, Democrats and the Obama campaign have focused on only the least objectionable portion of the comment as a means to frame the national discussion.

In a single sentence where Obama called small-town Midwestern voters overly religious bigots who cling to their guns out of frustration with George Bush, the Democrats have decided to build their defense on “bitter”.

Slate’s Mickey Kaus hasn’t missed this curious defense either:

At this point, the MSM and Hillary are only doing Obama a favor by focusing on the “bitter” dispute. … Anyway, maybe he meant “bitter” in a good way!

The New York Times can’t even bring itself to acknowledge that Obama even said “bitter.” Other media outlets have also latched on to the “bitter” theme while ignoring the towering elitism revealed by Obama in the rest of his remarks.

With coverage like this, the entire incident is likely to blow over in the next few days. But look for its resurrection during the general election when Republicans will use the quote to show how out of touch Obama is with ordinary people.

Is Obama committed to Israel’s survival?

Posted by True Obama Facts on 13 Apr 2008 | Tagged as: Barack Obama

By Bruce Walker

Is Obama committed to Israel’s survival as a Jewish state? The question is serious and the answer may be chilling.  The senator himself has not spoken ill of Israel nor has he made anti-Semitic statements, but it is quite unlikely that a candidate as clever as he would tip his hand on something that vital.  Consider, though, all the influences on the life of Barack Obama.

He has felt comfortable in the company of angry blacks who form the core of anti-Semitism in modern America.  Jeremiah Wright is symptomatic of the sort of aggrieved, irrational black agitator who seriously believes that Jews are a major obstacle to the advancement of blacks and other oppressed minorities around the world. But Reverend Wright is only one example. Cynthia McKinney seriously proposed that Jews did not show up for work in the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001 because of some prior cabalistic warning.  Nurtured  black rage led to the 1991 murder in Crown Heights of an Australian Jew, Yankel Rosenbaum, whose sole offense was being a Jew in the wrong part of New York.   Louis Farrakhan, of course, has spread Continue Reading »

Blessing vs. Damning America

Posted by True Obama Facts on 11 Apr 2008 | Tagged as: Barack Obama, Issues

I’ve spoken of the shining city all my political life…. [I]n my mind it was a tall, proud city built on rocks stronger than oceans, wind-swept, God-blessed….”   - President Ronald Reagan, Farewell Address, January 11, 1989

“‘God Bless America?’ No, no, no, God d— America…. God d— America…. God d— America!!”

   - Jeremiah Wright, pastor to Barack Obama for two decades

The spiritual mentors of Ronald Reagan shaped his understanding and vision of America’s role in the world. Why would anyone assume the same does not hold true for Barack Obama?
Americans have always been a religious people, with the vast majority believing in God and a consistent majority attending religious services — from the founding to today. The so-called worldview and even politics of many Americans are frequently shaped, guided, or reinforced by what they hear week after week from behind the pulpit, from the person of God they respect and usually admire as their pastor. A pastor leads the flock. A good pastor reads and applies Scripture to the times — to the events of the day.  Pastors hold an immense responsibility, as they can very well mold a citizen, leader, and even that rarest of Continue Reading »

Sen. Obama coddles evil

By Benjamin Shapiro http://wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=61117

Yesterday morning, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad declared that Iran was busily installing 6,000 new centrifuges for development of nuclear material. Further, Ahmadinejad stated, Iran would begin testing a new type of centrifuge that works five times faster than ordinary centrifuges.

Yesterday afternoon, Democratic presidential front-runner Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., declared that the U.S. should engage in a “diplomatic surge” in Iraq. In particular, he said, America should embrace talks with Iran. “I do not believe we are going to be able to stabilize the situation without that,” Obama told Gen. David Petraeus and U.S. Ambassador Ryan Crocker. “I continue to believe that the original decision to go into Iraq was a massive strategic blunder, that the two problems you pointed out – al-Qaida in Iraq and increased Iranian influence in the region – are a direct result of that original decision.”

Never mind the unbelievable arrogance of a foreign policy boob like Barack Obama lecturing the two most knowledgeable on-the-ground figures in Iraq on the best military strategy for Iraq.

Barack Obama’s scariest characteristic isn’t his ego, though its sheer size threatens to shift the globe out of orbit. Obama’s scariest characteristic is his Continue Reading »

Obama’s Lie about his Atheist Mother

Posted by True Obama Facts on 07 Apr 2008 | Tagged as: Barack Obama, Islam, Issues

If you haven’t been the direct recipient of a Barack Obama lie then hang on, your turn will come. He’ll get around to lying to everyone sooner or later in his quest to be Prez. Here’s where he lied to the nice people of Iowa back in December, 2007.

Desperate to emerge from the packed Democratic field victorious, Barack apparently felt compelled to twist the truth with regards to his dear Mother. He was talking to the heartland of America, so it’s time for Barack to lie about his mother and about his religious upbringing, in order to dispel rumors and innuendo surrounding his Islamic background:

At a stop at Smoky Row Coffee Shop in Oskaloosa, Obama sat down to eat some pumpkin pie with four local women and ended up having to explain how he was not a Muslim. An older woman seated at the table asked Obama to explain his Muslim heritage, to which the candidate replied, “This is something that keeps on being misreported, so I’m glad you asked me.”

Obama was referring to an e-mail chain accusing him of being a Muslim with an intent to undermine the United States. Early this year, false reports also circulated that he had attended a madrassa as a child. Obama explained his connection to Islam in this way:

“My father was from Kenya,” he said, “and a lot of people in his village were Muslim. He didn’t practice Islam. Truth is he wasn’t very religious. He met my mother. My mother was a Christian from Kansas, and they married and then divorced. I was raised by my mother. So, I’ve always been a Christian. The only connection I’ve had to Islam is that my grandfather on my father’s side came from that country. But I’ve never practiced

Obama’s 36 States

36-star flag.jpg
Welcome. I hope you’re privileged enough to live in one of the Obama states, because if you don’t, you just don’t count. Remember Barack’s speech - that there are no “red” states and “blue” states, just the United States of America? That’s just more BS. In Barack Obama’s world there are Clinton states, and there are Obama states, and the Clinton states like Michigan and Florida don’t count, and forget about voting in a primary if you haven’t already — your vote doesn’t matter to Barack Obama. The two stars in the center represent Florida and Michigan. In Obama’s America the Democrats in Florida and Michigan don’t get a say in the Democratic nominating process. He fought tooth and nail to block the primary do-overs, because Barack Obama doesn’t want those states to count.

One of the ’solutions’ recently floated by the Obama camp was to split the Michigan delegates 50-50. Barack’s name didn’t even appear on the ballot, and he wants half the delegates, or the alternative is to not count them at all.

Welcome to Barack Obama’s America.

The 12 ‘X’s across the lower stars? Those represent the states which have yet to hold their primaries. Pennsylvania, Indiana, North Carolina, Nebraska, West Virginia, Hawaii, Kentucky, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, South Dakota - the Obama surrogates are banging the drum trying to get Clinton to quit now, and the result is that voters in those states won’t get a chance to air their concerns, and talk back to the candidates. Their voices aren’t needed in Barack Obama’s America.

And as to the record-breaking voter registration effort that is resulting in record numbers of Democrats getting involved in the democratic process?

Aww, Barack doesn’t need them to get involved and have their say. They aren’t a part of the Barack Oabama America - he just plain doesn’t need their votes. He wants to be declared the winner now, and he’s got his people out there telling you that all hell will break lose if the superdelegates don’t end this race now.

Welcome to Barack Obama’s America.

Obama’s Facts and Afghanistan’s Casualties

Posted by True Obama Facts on 07 Apr 2008 | Tagged as: Barack Obama, Iraq War

Washington Post

Sen. Barack Obama continued his criticism of U.S. national security policy Monday, calling for more resources in Afghanistan. His remarks fueled the continuing debate, in the blogosphere and elsewhere, over his foreign-policy views and political strategy.

Hardly anyone, however, questioned the premise of what he said, or saw his remarks as an insult to the U.S. Air Force. Yes, the chairman of the Republican National Committee demanded an apology — but no one from the Air Force did. So let me say it: The senator should be more careful with his facts and more skeptical of his assumptions.

Here’s what Obama said in Nashua, N.H., about Afghanistan: “We’ve got to get the job done there, and that requires us to have enough troops so that we’re not just air-raiding villages and killing civilians, which is causing enormous pressure over there.”

Leave aside the strategic implications of his comments. Is there a shred of evidence that airpower is either responsible for civilian deaths or is deadlier than ground operations?

I studied this issue earlier this year as a National Security and Human Rights Fellow at the Carr Center for Human Rights at Harvard. I am also a long-time consultant to the Air Force and a veteran of civilian Continue Reading »

Obama was ‘quite religious in Islam’

Contemporaries, records dispute campaign claim that he was never ‘practicing Muslim’

By Aaron Klein,

http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=60559

JERUSALEM – Was Sen. Barack Obama a Muslim? Did he ever practice Islam?

The presidential candidate officially rejects the claims, but the issue of Obama’s personal faith has re-emerged amid conflicting accounts of his enrollment as a Muslim during elementary school in Indonesia, the world’s most populous Muslim nation.

Widely distributed reports have noted in January 1968, Obama was registered as a Muslim at Jakarta’s Roman Catholic Franciscus Assisi Primary School under the name Barry Soetoro. He was listed as an Indonesian citizen whose stepfather, listed on school documents as “L Soetoro Ma,” worked for the topography department of the Indonesian Army.

Catholic schools in Indonesia routinely accept non-Catholic students, but exempt them from studying religion. Obama’s school documents, though, wrongly list him as being Indonesian.

After attending the Assisi Primary School, Obama was Continue Reading »

Does Obama know America?

Posted by True Obama Facts on 01 Apr 2008 | Tagged as: Barack Obama

When I hear liberals talk about this country I don’t recognize the place. It’s just as if they never talk to their own neighbors or go to their local market. The Left seems to constantly misunderstand normal people in a really paranoid fashion.Jeremiah Wright is not the only rage-and-fear-peddler on that side of the political fence. Liberals apparently believe they can read minds, spotting racism and evil where nobody else can find it. That’s what they keep telling us, after all.
I just don’t recognize  “Ameri-KKK-a,” in the Rev. Wright’s witty little phrase. In the real America of the last half century you have to turn over a lot of rocks to find the evil racist, sexist, homophobic meanies. Instead, I see a country that is desperately working to do good in the world.
Now this is the big, unanswered question about Barack Obama — does he really understand America as it is? Or does he fall for the paranoid narrative of the Left? That is crucial. If he has internalized the Left’s view of America, he will try to make the country pay and pay for all the wrongs, real or imagined, of the distant past. The country will be permanently guilt-tripped.
Barack Obama was born in Hawaii to a Kenyan father and a white mother, went to school in Indonesia, then Hawaii again — with its own racial divisions between native Hawaiians, whites, blacks, and people with Japanese ancestry. Hawaii is our loveliest state, but it has a record of racial divisions. Since Obama was born, native Hawaiian have reasserted their original ownership of the islands very vigorously. There’s no way you can miss that, growing up in Honolulu.
After high school Obama spent a few years at Occidental College in California, then Columbia, then worked in leftwing law firms in New York, then attended Princeton, Harvard Law, and finally settled down in Jeremiah Wright’s part of Chicago.
None of those places resembles normal, middle-class America. All of them are steeped in racial tensions, as viewed from the Left.  Even Princeton is obsessed with race, as Michelle Obama wrote in her college thesis.
We know that Rev. Wright’s church teaches people to avoid “middleclassness.” You have to keep people on the boil, enraged at white America, so they must not get too comfortable with their lives.
That seems to be Barack’s idea of Continue Reading »
